What to Expect at Your Christmas Mini Session 🎄

I’m so excited to have you at the studio this holiday season! Please take a few minutes to read through the information below before your session. It includes everything you need to know to help your Christmas Mini run smoothly and make the most of our time together.

What Should We Wear?

Your Christmas Mini Session will take place at Laura Park Photography’s studio in Sterling, Virginia: 101 Executive Dre Ste G Sterling, VA

Christmas Minis are 20-minute sessions and are scheduled back-to-back throughout the day.


Please plan to arrive approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled session time so everyone has time to get settled and ready.


Your session will begin and end at the time reserved for you. Unfortunately, arriving late will reduce the amount of photography time available, as I cannot extend sessions into the next family's reserved time.


I recommend having everyone fully dressed and photo-ready before your scheduled start time.

Your session includes access to both of this year's Christmas setups, allowing us to create a little variety within your gallery. If you only want photos in one setup, no problem!


We'll move through the setups efficiently while capturing a combination of family portraits, individual photos of the children, sibling photos, and sweet candid moments whenever time allows.


Please keep in mind that Christmas Minis are intentionally short sessions, so the number and variety of combinations we're able to photograph will depend on your family size, children's cooperation, and the time available.

Neutral, warm, and classic tones will look beautiful with this year's sets.


Something like cream, ivory, beige, camel, brown, muted greens, soft reds/burgundy, or classic holiday plaids.


Coordinating your family's outfits rather than having everyone match exactly usually creates a more natural and elevated look.


Try to avoid large logos, neon colors, very busy patterns, or clothing with large graphics or wording, as these can distract from your photos.
